Hi,
I am a full service Portrait and Lifestyle Photographer. I've been a photographer since I can remember, but photographing every phase of my children's lives is why Life Photography Studio became a business. I create images to be a reflection of the moment. A reflection of relationships. Timeless.
My exploding passion with photography started when my first child was born. As each of my children began their life's journey, that passion became greater as I captured their every move. It was then that I knew I had to capture life’s moments as they seem to be gone in a flash. My children and my grandchildren are my inspiration to create life in my images.
In 1997, I began my photography business. The Bronica was my first professional camera. As we moved into the digital age, I set aside my film and began working with files. What first seemed overwhelming became a very rewarding adventure. I realized that as easy as it seems to capture an image digitally, it is actually more difficult to capture a technically correct digital image. My knowledge of lighting and composition play an important part in being able to represent the moment as it is. Everyone knows when they like a picture, but they don’t always know why. It’s my job as a photographer to listen to my client, and produce an end result that reflects what they want. The art of photography is creating a visual even before picking up the camera. Black & White, Sepia, Color – each style has its unique way of representing those images. My children, and my life experiences, have given me the perspective that I use to create images.
In August of 2006, I moved my studio into Covington, KY and have enjoyed the energy of the village ever since. My studio is located in my home at 627A Main Street in Mainstrasse. I use the studio and surrounding environment for photo shoots. I also specialize in location photography – at a home or park. A photography session can be a fun, rewarding, and ultimately priceless experience. I hope to hear from you.
